About Us

Batbridge Books was born in Austin, Texas, somewhere between a cracked sidewalk and a cup of strong coffee.

We’re not a press for polished pretenders or market-chasers. We publish work that knows what it means to fall apart and begin again. Writing that limps, stutters, rages, and loves anyway.

Founded by a poet who rebuilt his life one line at a time, Batbridge believes writing doesn’t have to be pretty to be powerful. It just has to be honest.

We believe in:

  • Poems that make you uncomfortable, in the best way.

  • Stories that don’t resolve cleanly but stay with you like a scar.

  • Voices that rarely get heard but refuse to stay quiet.

  • Books as bridges, between people, ideas, and the lost parts of ourselves.

We’re here for the ones who’ve been told they’re too much, or not enough. For the weirdos. The quiet rebels. The survivors.

The dreamers still sketching maps on napkins.

If you’re looking for a place to read or publish something real, something that moves, you’ve found it.

Welcome to Batbridge.
